The Ellipse has been designed as a classic stove with softer detailing than the other stoves in the ICast range. It's a timeless design in its elegant lines. The Ellipse boasts a design that works with both modern and traditional surroundings. The flowing curves of the plinth base accentuate a traditional look, therefor giving a rustic appearance.
The Ellipse stove is available with a spinner primary air control. Primary Air is the air which is drawn into the woodburning stove, typically at a low level to maintain the combustion of the solid fuel being burnt. Usually, the Primary Air enters through a control on the front of the stove (Stovax & Gazco, 2018).
The Ellipse has a built in Airwash system, which draws in air from the outside to wash over the inside of the glass, keeping your view of the fire clear and uninterrupted.
The Ellipse is also DEFRA approved. "DEFRA EXEMPT stoves" (the proper terminology) or SE (smoke exempt) are stoves that are cleared to burn specified fuels in smoke control areas, fuels which are usually disallowed.
The Ellipse has a nominal heat output of 5KW. It's efficiency is 79.9% when burning wood and 80% when burning Anthracite.
The ICast Ellipse has been certified and tested to European Standards (BS EN 13240).
